I am a PhD student in the Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. I am deeply engrossed in the fascinating world of applied mathematics. I hold a License degree in Mathematics and my academic background is rooted in a solid foundation of mathematical principles. I have a passion for teaching and contributing to the academic community.
Supported by my teachers, after graduating I decided to continue my studies and enrolled in the Master's degree in applied mathematics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. With a research grant from the Brazilian government, I was able to develop my studies and research in the area of Particle Transport concluding in 2018.
With the support of my advisors, I started my PhD at the same university, again with financial support from the Brazilian Government. Throughout my research, I realized the need to understand more deeply what I was researching. Therefore, I applied for an exchange program promoted by the Brazilian Government and had the opportunity to study at The Ohio State University for a period of one year (Nov/2022 - Nov/2023). During this time I was able to study the physical and chemical parts of nuclear reactions and their purpose in multiple applications. Furthermore, I was able to have contact with several professors and research groups, as well as connect with American culture and the educational system.
My academic journey has led me to specialize in areas that sit at the intersection of mathematics and physics, with a keen focus on particle transport, radioactive transfer, and reactor physics. These fields are pivotal to understanding and harnessing the nuclear universe and have captivated my curiosity and research efforts, especially since embarking on my master's degree.
Beyond my research endeavors, I have a profound passion for teaching and contributing to the academic community. Having served as a Tutor for various undergraduate courses, I've had the privilege of guiding students through the complexities of mathematics, fostering an environment of collective learning and growth. This experience has not only enriched my pedagogical skills but has also reinforced my belief in the power of shared knowledge and collaboration.
Whether you're a fellow researcher, a potential collaborator, or simply curious about the intersections of mathematics and physics, I hope you find this space informative and inspiring. For further inquiries or discussions on potential projects, please do not hesitate to reach out. Let's explore the boundless possibilities of mathematics and physics together!
